Rental Insurance

RentBridge includes an embedded insurance marketplace. At booking time, renters see per-rental coverage options from partner providers, priced against the actual rental — and equipment owners earn nothing less for it: coverage protects the equipment, and the platform books the affiliate commission.

Available Coverage

Each rental generates quotes for four partner products:

Provider Product Coverage Type Typical Premium
EquipSure Damage Waiver Basic Damage waiver ~8% of rental total
EquipSure Liability Shield Liability ~5% of rental total
HeavyGuard Theft Protect Theft ~4% of rental total
HeavyGuard Total Cover Bundle Damage + liability + theft ~13% of rental total

Premiums have a $25 minimum and are risk-adjusted: RentBridge's insurance intelligence loop tracks claims and damage history by equipment category, and applies a risk multiplier to the base premium. A category with a clean history gets cheaper coverage over time.

How It Works

For Renters

  1. When a rental is quoted or reserved, coverage options appear with exact premiums
  2. Pick one (or skip coverage entirely — it's optional)
  3. Purchasing binds the policy to the rental; the other quotes are automatically declined
  4. The policy is tied to that rental only — no annual contracts

For Equipment Owners

  • Coverage reduces your exposure on damage, liability, and theft
  • You can see attach rate (what share of rentals carry coverage) and commission earned in your dashboard
  • Return inspections that find damage feed the risk model, keeping premiums honest

Commission

RentBridge earns an affiliate commission (20–25% of premium, varies by product) on each policy sold. The commission summary in your dashboard shows policies sold, total premium, commission earned, and attach rate.

Quotes Are Idempotent

Requesting quotes for the same rental twice returns the same open quotes — renters can't accidentally generate duplicate pricing.
